About Us
Through Martial Arts, travels to Japan and living in South East Asia in the 80's, Tim developed a love for the art, culture, design and interiors of the region. Tim spent many years in Brunei, Singapore and Indonesia working in the off-shore oil industry as a Commercial Deep Sea Diver. He moved back to Canada to dive 3 more years in the Arctic, but his bones eventually got too old for that type of work and he started a career in the construction & renovation business.
In 1999, Tim started making shoji screens and lamps from his home on the weekend. This business has now grown to a fully stocked workshop creating beautiful custom chests, screens, lighting, doors, accessories and decorative art.
Many of Tim's pieces are showcased throughout his home and compliment him and his wife's collection of Kokeshi Dolls, Wedding Kimonos, Prints and Samurai Helmets.
